Chelsea and Brandon had a fall farmhouse wedding at 1899 Farmhouse. I first met Chelsea about 2 weeks before their fall Farmhouse wedding and when she described the exact location for the ceremony out at the 1899 Farmhouse, I was excited to shoot their wedding! I’ve shot countless weddings at 1899 Farmhouse, and in recent years, several of the weddings have chosen the gazebo as the ceremony spot. Each time, I’ve thought to myself how utterly gorgeous it would be to have the ceremony next to the gazebo instead of in front of it. It’s such a subtle change, but what a huge difference it made for Chelsea and Brandon’s wedding photos. The background of the ceremony then becomes the wooded forest with the full green trees, and the aisle is angled to show the reception pavilion in the background instead of the parking lot when the bride walks down the aisle. The trees surrounding the Farmhouse are magnificent and have always been one of my favorite features of the property.
Chelsea and Brandon opted for a small, simple wedding, and everything turned out beautifully. They opted to skip having a bridal party, which gave the ceremony an intimate feel since they flowergirl and ring bearer were their children. They chose to skip a few of the traditional reception activities in order to spend time with their family and friends, which kept everything feeling like a family affair.
Chelsea and her best friend Lacey were busting their tails all morning to set things up. From putting together the aisle flowers to setting up each table, they handled it all on their own. They both did a fantastic job with all of the DIY details Chelsea put together! One of my favorite details were the succulent wedding favors they had for everyone. I loved how everything had a cohesive wild, natural feel to it.
